Fun project I did for PromaxBDA to promote their Student Story Challenge competition over Christmas break.
Thanks to Melissa LaFore for the voiceover!

Having a concrete goal or client is really helpful in stimulating creativity and motivating myself to keep moving forward and trying new things.
I made this fun little mech flower thing for the 99 frames social animation project. 99 Frames is a project where designers create an animation using Cinema 4D that is exactly 99 frames long. It’s a cool project so check out their tumblr and Vimeo group to see the other entrants. If you want to get in on the action the deadline is January 31, which is honestly still enough time to make something really cool!
Working on the next GSG Five Second project as well. Here’s a render:
Still making daily stuff, but have been set back a bit by some cool projects which I will hopefully post about soon.
There’s a great article by Nick Campbell about daily projects here: http://greyscalegorilla.com/blog/2013/01/one-a-day/
The one with the sphere and sliced cone thing is an attempt to recreate the cool objects in this amazing piece for the Digitized conference : https://vimeo.com/49535080
